Steuerung Apple TV via IP (HS3)?

Ein (gebrauchter) ipod touch wär vielleicht sogar günstiger, eine IRtrans-Lösung bietet aber auch schöne Möglichkeiten.

iPad/iPhone ist vorhanden, aber ich möchte nicht für jedes Gerät das App wechseln, daher möchte ich es zentralisiert steuern.

IR-Sender ist sowieso vorhanden, daher gehts nur um die Softwareanpassung, es entstehen keine neuen Hardwarekosten

Oh, das ist stark. Ich glaube, dass mmh damit ziemlich einzigartig ist. Mir ist sonst keine Lösung bekannt, die das kann. Mit dem remote control ist aber gemeint, dass ihr nur die Tasten der Fernbedienung emuliert, nicht den Mediathek-Zugriff direkt steuern könnt?

Das ist korrekt.

Naja, ohne iTunes kann man weder eigene Inhalte auf dem ATV wiedergeben noch Titel per iTunes Match in die iCloud laden. Ohne iTunes ist das ATV eigentlich unbrauchbar. Zugriff auf die iTunes Mediathek hat das ATV doch nur bei einem laufenden iTunes, oder ist mir da was entgangen?

Falsch: ich kann Ihn eben als Airstream Client verwenden auf Filme aus dem Store zugreifen, Internet Radio, YouTube und sonstige Dienste. Nur wie gesagt, wirklich Fun macht es mit einem oder mehreren iTunes im Rücken.
und ja, wir sind wenn auch rudimentär, die Einzigen die es mit dem ATV2/3 können.. Wichtiger für unsere Anwendungen ist hier sicherlich auch das Feedback.

Firecore has released a new API which enables to send IR commands via http requests.

Note: this will only work on jailbroken AppleTV G2 with ATVFlash black installed, and AirControl enabled.

Ich muss diesen alten Thread mal wieder hochholen - gibt es inzwischen eine Möglichkeit, ein Apple TV von einem Homeserver aus zu steuern?

I've also looked into this. But for the moment I did not find any way to control an Apple TV.

The only 2 ways might be:
- Via: KNX -> IR-signal -> AppleTV (but this requires a IR transmitter)
- Via Firecore (however, this means Jailbreaking the AppleTV). I also see this is only possible with AppleTV 2nd generation (black) and the new AppleTV 4K (which would need to have Firecore Infuse) does not have the 'Firecore Aircontrol API' as far as I can see.



The ChromeCast 1, 2 and Ultra are possible to control via WEB requests (and able to power on your TV via HDMI CEC
