No telegram send on the bus

I'm extending our current KNX installation with a second line. I will have two lines (1.1.x and 1.2.x) which are set up as followed:
    - main line: power module
    - line 1.1.x: line coupler + power module + KNX members + IP interface
    - line 1.2.x: line coupler + power module + KNX members

From the IP interface running on line 1.1.x I can program addresses and applications from ETS3 running on line 1.2.x.

However, when I try to send a group address from ETS3 to a KNX member on line 1.2.x, I'm getting the error "Het telegram werd op de bus niet bevestigd". The light is also not switched on.

Google translation: "Das Telegramm auf den Bus wurde nicht bestätigt".

    What am I doing wrong?

    Tx - Ivan

    Hello Ivan,

The line couplers 1.1.0 and 1.2.0 will transmit only those group telegrams that are assigned to devices in both lines (filter table).
If you are using ETS4, you may use the online error diagnostics wizard to send the group address; this tool has an option to temporarily add the group address to the filter tables.
If you want to permanently add the group address to the filter tables, you can do so by either placing a "dummy" device or by adding the group address to the list of additional group addresses of the line.

      Thanks for your prompt answer.

I've installed the second line for a "building" in the garden and because the first line already contains +60 members, I've used two line couplers. The main objective is that the two lines are integrated so I can switch an aktor of line 1.2.x from devices belonging to line 1.1.x and also the other way around.

However, I don't understand your solutions for ETS3.

Should I install for each KNX device of line 1.2.x a dummy device in line 1.1.x and the other way around?

Or should I set up a dummy group address in line 1.1.x for each group address of line 1.2.x and the other way around? I must admit that I didn't know that a group address belongs to a specific line.

Can you be a little more specific in your answer? You can always write your answer in German.

        Hi Ivan

After you have added and programmed the devices on the different Lines, have you programmed the Couplers with "Application program" too?

If you have the same group adresses on different lines, the ETS generates "Filter tables" for the Couplers, wich are written if you program the Couplers.

          Tx for your answer.

Based upon your input, I've checked the parameters of the line coupler. I've now set "Gruppentelegramme Hauptlinie -> Linie" and "Gruppentelegramme Linie -> Hauptlinie" to "ungefiltert weiterleiten".

It's working perfect. Problem solved !
