KNX/EIB eibd error on Windows 7

Hi.

Everytime I start eibd on my windows 7 machine it throws this error:

eibd -i -c -D -S -T -R ipt:192.168.0.20

However, if I remove the -S parameter... it works.

On my XP machine it works even with the -S parameter.

What can be wrong?

AW: eibd error on Windows 7

I guess something with Windows 7 network settings.
Check your firewall, anti vir, and network (homezone?) settings.

Thanks for the suggestion but I already tried running EIBD with the firewall off and the AntiVirus disabled. Same error:

I don't understand what you mean with the network settings. The network is properly configured (I guess) as I have access to the KNX IP device for ETS programming.

Any more suggestions?

I have no clue, I'm just guessing.

ETS works so it seems to be no network configuration problem. On the other hand, eibd is a server, listening on a specific port. Here might be a problem.

Have you tried starting eibd as simple as possible, without the IP server option? Does a groupswrite work then?

I've tried to run EIBD as simple as possible. It works. I can do a groupswrite with success.

The problem is the server parameter (-S). As soon as I set the -S parameter...it fails with 'initilization of the EIBnet/IP server failed'

My network is ok, I'm starting it as administrator, no firewall problems.
I've read other user with the same problems here in a 'eibd under windows' german topic.

I have a Weinzierl IB BAOS 770 which does not support routing. I need eibd to allow it to receive connections from openremote, Gira HS and ETS. I guess I need the -S parameter for that, right?

Also...should I start eibd with ipt:<ip of router> or iptn:<ip of router> ?

I have the same problem here. Tested on a W7 platform and BAOS 730.
