mp3 player for homeserver

Hi,

I don't know either of the systems. Don't think someone have in Belgium. My idea is to control audio by means of the homeserver , use it a bit like an audio server for exemple request if it is possible offcourse?

it´s possible to control MP3 by homeserver, but only external streaming clients as mentioned before.

you can implement an control mask on your visual HS-client and control a streaming client like Squeezebox by commands over LAN.

the homeserver is only the gateway for the commands and for visualizing on your touchscreen. there is no playing or mp3-encoding function in the HS.

Then you have not yet looked at the correct places, there are in Belgium people who have experience with such systems and multimedia whit KNX in general.

Are there any links to their projects? There exists several solutions to combine Audio with KNX but no special solution for the Homeserver. I think the problem is here the definition of "audio server".

There is a MP3 player (for HS) if you also have running a Windows PC in your n etwork with free resources.

The clue is to control the Player via HS and put all Informations of Player on the HS VISU...
