HS/FS Samsung, SONy Steuerung über HS

Ist es möglich Samsung UE 46B8090 über Netzwerk von HS zu Steuern?
Das gleiche bei Blue-Ray Sony S5000ES

Der Samsung ist leider nicht über Netzwerk steuerbar... Das SONY Gerät hatte ich noch nicht in den Fingern.

Ist dann Steuerung mit IR Trans Möglich?
Wenn Ja, wird nur ein Umsetzer benötigt oder für jedes gerät eigenes umsetzer.

Mit IRTRANS geht das. Der "bestrahlt" den ganzen Raum, wenn entsprechend positioniert. Steht der BluRay Player also "offen" im Raum, sollte es keine Probleme geben. Notfalls kann auch eine zus. Sendediode angesteckt werden.

Was mach Dich da so sicher ??? Beim Samsung wäre mir das neu!! Grundsätzlich ist die Steuerung über RS232 immer der bessere Weg.

I'm busy with a HomeCinema project and have the same kind of questions as you.
I'm taking another approach, that is, I'm contacting every manufacturer (projector, ampli, Blu-Ray) asking which device supports TCP/IP as a remote control (for easy integration in the HS).
If interested I can post results back.

This research is a pain, crawling the Internet, begging for information.
I'll share the results with pleasure, although somehow OT.

My first priority is the projector, because
- the projector will be out of reach (> 2m)
- I need remote control for the lamp management (an abrupt power-off will kill the lamp)
Other devices, like a Blu-Ray, can eventually be controlled via an actuator
I've found an "unusal" approach from Sanyo, very clever

Mitsubishi also has this kind of functionality, but having IP and high res brings the price into the 7.000€ range. No thanks

i´ve one Home Cinema, my Benq W20000 is controlled via HS/IP over RS232 and one 5110 NPort.

It works great. Soon, the Denon Receiver and BR will be connected.

Bad news
Please sit down and take it easy.
My intention was indeed to compile a list of devices with an IP interface. Most important: the projector (lamp management and source select).

After more then a week of a terribly frustrating experience , I can provide you with a looong list of broken URL, black hole redirection, invalid mail addresses and charged telephone numbers.
But, when I eventualy get a reply, most of the time it is wrong (i.e. someone from the HomeCinema division is replying, saying "not possible", in fact the device exists in the Professionnal division. Terrible !

Also, there are too much parameters involved, especially the projector throw distance. Devices with a short throw distance (<4m), typically HomeCinema, don't have RJ45, devices from the "installation" or "professional" range do have it, at a much higher price.

Sorry Mike, I'd love to be usefull to you, but I'm not going to publish a piece of crap.

I think you have to redo the whole exercise for yourself. Chances are you get prompt and acurate responses in Germany. I'd be interested in your findings as well.
