    Problem with plot.period and smarthome

    Hello, i've a problem to graph temperature with the last smartvisu + last smarthomeNG

    in smarthome i have an item ext.temp :

    Code:
    ext:

        temp:
            name: Température Extérieur
            type: num
            ow_addr: 28.5F1848050000
            ow_sensor: T
            eval: round(value, 1)
            knx_dpt: 9
            knx_reply: 1/0/100
            knx_send: 1/0/100
            rrd: 'yes'
            rrd_mode: gauge
    In smartvisu page i use :

    Code:
    <div data-role="collapsible" data-collapsed="false">
                                    <h3>Température</h3>
                                    {{ basic.value('ext_temp', 'ext.temp') }} °C
                                    {{ plot.period('ext_temperature', 'ext.temp', 'avg', '1d') }}
    </div>
    the data basic.value is good but i didn't see the graph of the day

    Can you help me to debug ?

    Thanks a lot for your help

    i am not using rrd but isnt there a way to check if there is data for the item inside rrd?

      yes, data is here in smarthomeNG i can check the rrd data :

      Code:
      >>> sh.ext.temp.db('min','1d')
      -4.6
      >>> sh.ext.temp.db('avg','1d')
      -1.3
      yes it's very cold ! but it's the reality !
      So i think the RRD is working ...

        Do other plots work in your smartVISU or is this the only one you have?
        Actually I'm not sure if rrd data can be used in plots - can anyone else confirm or deny this?

          Unfortunately it's the only one plots i have ...

          Before with older version of smartvisu and smarthome this plot (with RRD) worked ...

            It is a known fact that rrd is not working anymore in present systems. From what I know, there is no final conclusion whether this is related to smarthomeNG itself, or the OS/Python version in use, see here. There was another discussion on this topic here, too. The result was that hardly anyone is still using it, and noone is actively further developing it, so to me it's kind of 'deprecated'. I highly recommend replacing rrd with the new database module, and to continue with either MySQL or SQLite.
