We went through all the stuff for years now I guess

Vielleicht hilft noch dieser Link: Pegelsonde TDS-61xx (f. Füllstand u. Tankinhalt) - TECSON

Thank you for the link, but I know this page.
I have selected the TDS-6120-6 for my apllication, but I've still no idea where to buy. Any hint, please ?

Raymond, it was really easy: one email sent to the first address I saw there, one confirm, got it, paid it

Edit: it's amazing, but there are still vendors that just sell their products to anyone who want to buy them without any "Grosshandel" that wants 20-30% for doing - nothing

                  Hi,

I have installed the Tecson TDS-6120-6. Material looks good, installation easy, current loop and ABB AE/A 2.1.
During calibration, I've noticed strong non-linearity in the sensor readings i.e. the sensor readings are non linear in function of the fuel height.

My question is OT but maybe someone can help.
I understand that in a tank with simple shape (cubic, rectangular, cylinder vertical) the reading should be linear in function of the height.
But what about a tank with particular/special shape (cylinder horizontal, spheric, irregular) ?

I understand Pascal's priciple, but it doesn't apply to my question.

With "special shapes" like the ones you mention, you got to apply also special formulae to calculate the volume left in the tank. However, also in that case the sensor reading is proportional to the fluid height (hydrostatic pressure). Physics doesn't change in our world.

Being curious about the Tecson or equivalent hydrostatic pressure sensors...

Are there any reportable results yet from any of the folks you planned to install such device?

I've a Tecson TDS-6120-6 in production since a couple of months.
It is connected to an ABB AE/A. Looks OK.
I needed the help of Techson's tech sup to calibrate the measurement. The reading depends on the liquid density (water, fuel etc) hence in the case of fuel, a correction factor has to be applied.
The disappointing thing is that the fuel desity may vary heavily from one delivery to another. The supplier doesn't give any warranty.
I've written a Baustein to translate the fuel height into a meaningfull volume, due to the irregular shape of the tank.
