KNX/EIB ETS4 and Windows 7 upgrade

I've a Windows 7 system with ETS4.
The free upgrade to Windows 10 expires end of july.

What is the best way / most secure way to upgrade ?

First upgrade ETS4 to ETS5, then W7 to W10 ?
or
First upgrade W7 to W10, then ETS4 to ETS5 ?

Thanks for the hint, I'll have a serious look at it.
I thought that Microsoft having done the download, it implies an "in place" upgrade.

at first, I've upgraded 20+ systems from Windows 7 or 8 to 10 without any problems. But as ETS4 is not officially supported on Windows 10, I would suggest to upgrade ETS from 4 to 5 as the first step. So you have a working installation in case something went wrong with ETS4 on Win10.
