Da hast Du dich entweder verrechnet oder was grob falsch, rechne mal kurz durch, wielange es dauert 3GB (mmmpf!!) an einen Client zu übertragen?!

2. alte PoketVisu für Iphone noch mal 2GB

Das bekommt nichtmal das iphone in den Cache..

Ich rate zu einem WE mit 8Bit uC, dann kann mit 2kByte (also 2048x8Bit) SRAM wieder Mega, Giga und Terrabyte besser unterscheiden, wenn nur 2k da sind

für den Quantensprung GB/MB hatte ich mich schon vorher entschuldigt.

Fazit ist man kann einen 512M (max 1024MB) Flash mit 2x512MB Ram verbauen
hier habe ich eine gute beschreibung gefunden.

nach dem aufschrauben der HS's (ich hab 2 HS2-net (test/redundant)) konnte ich gleich noch ein paar teile finde die nach 8 jahren raus sollten. neben der bios batterie wird man auch den Prozessorlüfter gleich tauschen. Reserver Netzteil hab ich noch. da hab ich nach 5 jahren betrieb einmal eines benötigt.

Hello all.
Is there a Howto pimp the HS3 with larger Flash?
I tried Homeserver Gira Homeserver (02), Neuer Flash IDE Speicher , Upgrade but is does not work...
I keep getting 7 errors like these in the beginning of the boot proces:
WARNING: using suspect partition Pr1:1 FS 01:with calculated values 2-5-5 in stead of 0-69-5

And at the end the following errors:
[Error 6] No such device or address" "/dev/hdc"
And after the line "TimeServer INItIAL":
File "/hs/compile/hs_remanent.py, line 1297, in doLoad
[Error 6] No such device or address" "/dev/hdc2"
File "/hs/compile/hs_remanent.py, line 1308, in doLoad
[Error 6] No such device or address" "/dev/hdc3"

To my best knowledge I cloned the original Flash so the new one is exactly the same apart from the larger unused space at the end.
Resetting or loading an application with a serial cable works fine with the original flash.
Not with the new one....

I have seen it but have not tried it yet.
Could not find a thread explaining how it works.
Suppose the "Daten Eingang" would be connected to a switch.
No idea what to do with the output...

All you have to do is to put it on a logic sheet.

Then you will have a new entry under debug like this one:

Could it be that the firmware sees that the new flash is larger then expected and therefor produces error messages?
Even when I clone the original flash with "Paragon Backup and Recovery" and don't modify the size of partition 3 and 4 it doesn't work.
The objective was not only to enlarge the memory but also to have a backup in case the original (128MB ?) flash fails.

To entlarge HS memory, it is necessary to know something about the hs system itself. A bigger flash alone does not do!

The HS holds all its data in RAM and writes it back to the Flash for Backup every 5 minutes. The HS does Not work with the data from flash. So increasing flash without increasing RAM makes no sense. And you cannot increase RAM as much as you want because of the board proerties.

On the other hand, usage of memory is also limited by firmware. Updating an HS to FS makes sense, more is not recommended.

I did read that somewhere on this forum.
My first step would be to get it working with the 1GB SSD using the same partition size as on the original SSD (2.1/9.8/24.5/26).
The only difference would be the larger unused space on the 1GB SSD.
The next step would be upgrading the RAM to 512MB or 1GB and the third step would be to enlarge partition 3 and 4
For now I am stuck with the first step...

The solution was to set the new flash to IDE Slave.
With the original partition sizes as well with a 200MB size for partition 3 and 4 it works fine.
Still getting those Warning messages at startup..
What is the size of partition 3 and 4 on the Facilityserver?
