Maintenance / Repairing informatino
Is there anyone who had a broken HomeServer in the past and has experience with Gira's maintenance/service department ? What happened ? Did they only swap the mainboard or th whole unit ?
As far a we 'officially' know, the HomeServer is 'hardware dongled' to the mainboard. So 'officially' it is not possible to swap your mainboard (when out of warranty, for repair) because then your license/key won't be valid anymore and the software won't work. However, we will not discuss anything about the licenses here or this topic will be closed ! I suggest you Google yourself.
