    Huib --

    I didn't use the RJ45 port on the ComfoAir, but instead connected directly to the screw terminal for the remote control. You only need the Tx, Rx and Gnd pins, and in my setup they go right to the Wiregate's serial plug - no USB convertor or similar inbetween. Don't remember the pins on the serial, but it' Rx, Tx and Signal Gnd, you can google them.

    I connected in parallel to the Zehnder remote control, but put a switch in the 12V line on the remote, since it's been said that having the remote as well as the wiregate online at the same time will cause read errors.

      @johnnychigago,

      As far as i can see i have only a rj45 connector free
      further i have the controler which is conected to the circuit board with a plug (2 x 8 connector)
      As far as i can see i have no screw connection, can you put a picture on the forum wher you have connected it

      FYI i have the unit whr930 basic and as far i as i could see it seems that all circuit boards are more or less the same

      Regards and thanks

        Huib,

        Seems that not all boards are the same, then, I'm afraid. Mine's the one described in this document:

        https://encrypted.google.com/url?sa=...it4VgA&cad=rja

        The controller is connected with four screws on the screw terminal. Sorry can't take a picture right now, will have to wait.

        I have the CC Ease controller, that has a 4 screw connector too - maybe you could use that.

          @johnychigago,

          If i look at your attachmend it seems that you have an additional circuitboard.

          At my unit I have only the upper one with out the second one.
          The two circuitboards are connected with a cable, starting on my rj45 connector.

          So i have to look further how to get info out of the rj45 plug
          any idea?

          regards

              Sorry again,

              If i look at the document you have the RJ45 plug at the main control circuit board, (which is ised as communication between the main and second board)

              If i look at page 2 you see the pins at the connector is indicated 2 and 3 as data
              Further 1 and 8 are power and ground

              When i connect ground to rs232 pin 5
              and 2 /3 to TX and RX i get no data in our out

              So my question is;

              what kind of adapters you are using;
              is the signal realy rs232 (2/3/8) or rs485 (only pin 2/3 as AB)

              so i can use the same as you have already working

              again
              thanks

                It is important to know witch version you have. Have you an Zender ComfoAir 350 the protocol is RS232. If you have an ComfoAir 550 then the protocol is RS485. The Plugin is writen for a ConfoAir 350.

                  if the comfoair 550 has a different protokol to the 350 is new for me.
                  I have thee 550 luxe version and the plugin is working well.*

                  The luxe versin has the second board, so I use the sub-D-socket for wg-550 communication.

                  Please do not use the RJ45-socket on the second board!

                  As far as I know, the Socket in the docu is the one on the mainboard.

                  *) BTW: I use WG with CC-Ease simultanious since the beginning and all worked well-knowing there are conflicts between both hardware. Since 2 weeks I have temporally pseudo-alarms from different temp-sensors -A1-A4 and wrong coil-speed-I don't no why-but if I deconnect WG the 550 is working fine.
                  I will update newest plugin-version and hope it will fixed.

                  Lio

                    Dear all,

                    As far as i can see are the control panel for the whrxxx and comford the same.
                    The luxe units have an second circuit board as interface circuit board.

                    The remote control units cc ease etc are connected to the second circuit board.
                    The communication to cc easye

                    I am looking for the commumication between the two panels.
                    It looks to me that the output in the rj45 socket (at the whr930) is not rs232 cause i get nothing in or out.
                    So could one of you test the signal out of the first circuit board if it is rs485.

                    If so can i use the commands as stated in the protocol as mentioned on the web

                    Looking forward of your advice comment sugestions

                    Regards

                      It is was i mean. If you have an luxe version you have an RS232 port and you can use the plugin. The RJ45 for the internal communication based on RS485 and have an other protocol. But i dont know the commands on this interface

                        Christof- This solution is interessting, can you send more details, links, fotos, etc?

                        Thnx,

                          @lio: Aus einem anderen Forum habe ich entnommen, dass die Comfoair intern also von Grund- zu Erweiterungsplatine über RS485 kommuniziert. Da ist ein ganz anderes Protokoll drauf als das uns bekannte für die serielle RS232 Schnittstelle. Dass das Protokoll bei RS485 nicht identisch sein kann ergibt sich schon aus der Topologie. Im RS485 Protokoll muss eine Sender und eine Empfängeradresse enthalten sein Ich habe mal kleinere Auszüge aus diesem Protokoll gesehen aber das ist noch viel schlimmer zu implementieren als die Verbindung über RS232.

                            We can switch languages here pretty well, as long as the final Quality-result is "Made in Germany"
                            (this is a funny story BTW: this "Brand" was lawfully enforced during the early 19th century by the great british empire just to mark "junk" German products Long-term, this wasnt a very good idea )

                                Kurzer Nachtrag...

                                Ich glaube wir hatten gerade ein Verständnissproblem bezüglich der Schnittstellen...

                                Die CC EASE kommuniziert über RS232. Wer also keine SUB-D) Buchse bzw. Conectorplaine hat, muss nachsehen wo die CC EASE angeschlossen ist und sich gegebenenfalls einen Adapter basteln. Was nicht geht ist der Anschluss der für die Erweiterungsplatiene reserviert ist. (Ist auch ein RJ45 Anschluss)

                                Auf der Conectorpltine der Luxe Version befindet sich rechts neben den 4 Klemmen an denen meistens das Kabel der CC EASE angeschlossen ist eine RJ45 Buchse. Diese sollte auch für die Steuerung mit dem Plugin verwendet werden können.

                                Wir sprechen hier also eventuell von 2 verschiedenen RJ45 Buchsen. Die eine geht... Die andere nicht Im Zweifelsfalle eine SUB-D9 Buchse mit einem Kabel versehen und dieses direkt an den Anschlussklemmen der CC EASE anschliessen. Dies sollte bei allen Modellvarianten möglich sein.
