Probleme ist genau das richtige Stichwort.

Es besteht eben die Gefahr, daß so Probleme wie die dicken Frontringe untergehen und dann plötzlich die Spots nicht in die Fassung passen. Deshalb sollte man bei aller Begeisterung für die günstige Alternative aufmerksam bleiben und prüfen, wo mögliche Detailprobleme bestehen.

Ok, so the front ring is thinner in the black version. Any other differences in light engine, or is housing the only difference?

Ok, in your list the black and silver housing versions for fixed color (BNLSP08CW and -S) are listed with the same nominal power 8W ... but for the tunable white version you have listed 8W for silver housing and 10W for black housing ... and product numbers are the same as for the single color versions.

From results reported here, we have seen that your light engines / COB have rather different quality, from good to poor. So what is in the box for the black housing TW version, the same 8W 2000-6000 light engine and COB as tested by forum members, or something else as indicated by the list (10W) ?

They are supply in different wattage: The silver version in 8W and black version in 10W.

They are with same quality COB chip and driver. just different in Wattage and Housing material cost.
The black housing version can suppy in 8W or 10W for options; the sliver version can only in 8W in max. ( consider heat dissipation factor )

What ist the maximum dimension of the thickness of the front ring at the black version? It would be good to add this measure in the drawings.

The black housing version in 0.25mm thickness of the ring as below showed

In the picture it really look like more than one millimeter.

Wow, hatte nicht einmal annähernd geahnt, dass man sich mit dem Thema so intensiv auseinander setzen kann. Wieder was dazu gelernt.
Dennoch mal meine (Laien-)Erfahrung dazu: Habe gerade 40x 8W 2700k-6000k mit DALI (MDT) und DALI Treibern und Einbaurahmen (auch von Benory geliefert) verbaut. WAF exterm hoch, nach vorher "muss das sein", jetzt "kann man da nicht noch ein paar mehr machen". War für mich alles Neuland und muss sagen, bin begeistert.

Zu einigen Themen:

• Kommunikation mit den Chinesen wie gewohnt hervorragend (Mail, Chat oder auch WeChat).
• Beratung: sehr kompetent, im Zweifel auch mal Rückfragen mit Engineering auf Chinesischer Seite
• Preise: Klasse. Aber man muss auch einige Punkte im Auge behalten:
  • Man bekommt die Ware direkt vom Hersteller, und muss einiges selber abwickeln, was ansonsten ein Händler in Europa für einen erledigt (Import, Zoll, Versandkosten usw.)
  • Aufgrund Entfernung, Zoll, Versanddauer, usw. ist eine Abwicklung von Garantiefällen ehr schwierig (das übernimmt ansonsten der Europäische Importeur). Mal eben eine Reklamation mit Vorabtausch zurückschicken, ist da etwas komplizierter
• Qualität: Bislang alles sehr gut, bislang keine Ausfälle (weder Treiber noch Spots).

Unterm Strich einiges an Geld gespart, aber man sollte auch Wissen, worauf man sich einlässt. Bei dem Preis kann man sich auch mal einige Lampen als Ersatz auf Lager legen und ich kann mich damit bei Eigenverbrauch arrangieren. Wenn es darum geht, einen Kunden damit zu beglücken, würde ich wohl doch ehr über den Händler in Deutschland gehen, denn für den höheren Preis muss der ja auch einige mehr tun..
Daher als Hobby macht mir das Spass, oder man macht es tatsächlich professionell und wird Importeur mit allem, was dazu gehört!

Als nächstes mache ich mich mal an die RGBW's ....

Wow Bernhard ich bin echt beeindruckt von der Zeit die du hier investiert! Vielen Dank von meiner Seite! Wenn wirklich eine Sammelbestellung gestartet wird, wäre ich auch mit ca. 100 Stück dabei! Toll wäre es wenn Benory ebenfalls eine 6+6 Version bringen würde.

Bei 100 Stück lohnt sich das auch als Einzelbestellung. Kannst mir gerne mal ne PN schicken, wenn du dazu mehr infos brauchst.
